In 2003, Joseph Volpe transformed the site of the Imperial Movie Theater in the rapidly–rejuvenating Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia into the award-winning Cescaphé Ballroom.
This extremely popular wedding venue features a warm and inviting lounge area with a 35-foot-long bar, an outside brick courtyard with bar and hibachi grill, a separate hors d’oeuvres and cocktail room, the magnificent ballroom itself and private, upstairs bridal suites.
The grand ballroom features a 30-foot-high bar, elegant chandeliers and a grand entrance staircase leading from the cocktail area. Balconies in the cocktail area and in the bridal suites which overlook the ballroom accent the old-world ambiance.
Since its first-ever event in February, 2004, Cescaphé has become renowned for its “over-the-top” food, service, professionalism, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. Many of the over 200,000 guests who have attended a wedding at this one-of-a-kind venue have used the word “Perfection” to describe the affair.
