Shannon & Mark

1. How did you meet?
We were both opposed to the idea of being set up or going on blind dates, but thankfully, mutual friends decided to play matchmaker and secretly planned a way for us to meet. After one conversation, the rest is history.

2. How did you get engaged?

We visited the Grand Canyon in the summer of 08, we had an great time and while we were there, we learned that there was a Grand Canyon of the East in Wellsboro PA. The following fall, Mark planned a romantic weekend getaway to the Grand Canyon of the East. We were hiking the canyon and found a waterfall along the way. We stopped to take pictures and relax for a few mintues. As we started to make our way back to the trail, Mark got down on bended knee and popped the question. Of course, the answer was Yes!

3. What made you choose Cescaphe?

We immediately fell in love with the unique setting and beautiful ballroom. We couldn't resist the equisite menu options, the elaborate cocktail hour and dessert offerings, along with all of the signature Cescaphe specialities that made the venue stand out above all the rest.

4. Some things you like to do together?
We love spending quality time with our family and friends, and weekends at the Schaefer lake house. We enjoy Friday night pizza nights (especially Delorenzo's Pizza or homemade pizza by Shannon's Dad), vacationing/weekend getaways, outdoor adventures, watching/going to sporting events, playing card games, Catch Phrase & Tabu.

5. Theme for your wedding/overall feel for your wedding?
Our goal was to create a heartwarming, romantic winter wedding.

6. Honeymoon Location?
Immediatly following the wedding, we are going on mini honeymoon to the Grand Cascades Lodge in Vernon NJ for some R & R.
In April, we will be honeymooning in Aruba!
